Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition essentially combines the base game Horizon Forbidden West and Burning Shores in one. After HADES in Zero Dawn, Aloy heads to the Forbidden West, bringing her to a GAIA backup, and continuing her quest to save the planet and to find the truth about her origins. After the defeat of the base game boss, Burning Shores sees Aloy explore what used to be Los Angeles.

Aside from the two games, you can unlock the Nora Legacy Outfit and Spear by connecting your account to the PlayStation Network. Additionally, this game now offers resolutions of up to Ultrawide 21:9 and Super Ultrawide 32:9, allowing you to immerse yourself in the impressive set designs of a post-apocalyptic United States of America. You can even play it on a 48:9 triple monitor display.

It also offers full support for the PS DualSense controller, letting you enjoy a gameplay experience with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. However, it goes without saying that the game doesn’t add new story content, levels, or quests. This makes it unappealing for people who already have a copy of the game or those who do not have the higher systems required to make use of this package’s full potential.

For anyone who still hasn’t played Horizon Forbidden West, go straight to Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition. You get the base game and the expansion in one, and even if you don’t have the ultrawide displays necessary, or the PS5 controllers, it still offers a nifty package that’s essentially provisioned for future upgrades. Despite repackaging the two new releases with no new content, it’s still a good purchase.
